The document “Mini Case #1 – section 4” contains requirements for this assignment.
The phrases “As Is” and “To Be” keep showing in the following instructions, so I find a good explaination of them. “One effective technique for transforming vision into results is to develop and populate an As-Is and To-Be BPMN diagrams. The As-Is diagram describes the present state of the organization’s process, culture, and capabilities. The To-Be diagram describes the future state; in other words, how the organization’s process, culture, and capabilities will appear in the future.”
I copy&paste the requirement for this mini case below.
Required:
1. Process analysis showing the “As Is” process map based on the information provided to you in Appendix a. Use the diagrams.net app that we used in Lab 1 to draw this “As Is” map. (This part’s maximum length is 1 page, and I have done this part, please insert the png I uploaded.)
2. Identify two issues that you have found in the “As Is” map and discuss why they are a problem, and how you would address those issues. As part of your discussion:
a. Explain and justify why you believe that each of the two issues that you identified need to be addressed by Farmer Joe’s.
b. Describe the modifications or re-design you are proposing by identifying specific activities and information flows that would be added or eliminated from the “As Is” process model. Do not draw a new “To Be” process model. Just write your your answers. (Maximum length is 1 page)
3. Conduct an online search of two software applications that you believe would address the two issues you identified for Farmer Joe’s. Be sure to fully explain why these software applications would address the two issues you identified by giving a brief overview of both solutions, provide pros and cons for each (minimum 3 pros and 3 cons for each), and then provide a supported recommendation on which application Farmer Joe’s should go with and why.
Note:
• The report should be well written, typed (12-point font Times New Roman or Calibri, single spaced) and should be of equivalent quality to a report that you would write for a senior manager.
• A cover page is not needed. Please ensure that in the header that you include your name, section number, and B number.
• Your report should start with a brief introduction to contextualize your report and end with a conclusion that wraps the whole thing up.
• The use of tables and bullet points is acceptable. You do not need to use full sentences for bullet points, but you do need to use complete thoughts. If I can’t follow what your bullet point is trying to convey, then it will hurt your marks, as your communication will be unclear.
• You must use headings/sub-headings and a structure that is clear to the reader which part of the report addresses which of the three (3) specific requirements outlined above.
Since this assignment is based on my first lab, I have uploaded my “Lab 1 Submission”.
Here is the feedback from my professor:
Good work on your map!
A few things to consider:
* The customer needs to be in its own pool. Otherwise, it looks like the customer is part of Farmer Joe’s. (-1)
* Make sure that you stick to the narrative. You have “filled in” actions that make the flow more logical, but the narrative purposely has issues in it where the flow of the processes/information will stop. So, it’s important to correctly model those. I haven’t taken any points off but you will need to fix it for the mini case.
* The thank you card and survey don’t need a parallel gateway because they go together to the same destination (-0.25)

To make everything clear about Lab 1, I uploaded instructions for my lab 1 {Lab 1 (section 4) COMM MGMT 3511 W22.pdf}, and a sample solution from my professor.
I hope everything is clear! Thank you!
