Students must submit one 3-4 pages (750 to 1,000 words) double-spaced think piece that analyze some aspect(s) of the required materials on one week of their choice during weeks One to Eight. The think piece must correspond to all the readings and videos assigned on the chosen week. This assignment is not a review, but rather it should analyze the readings and use citations (either parenthetical or footnotes).
A well-written think piece will include the following:
• It should demonstrate a clear understanding of the text/question/issues.
• It is clearly structured.
• Presents relevant historical examples/evidence that support the thesis of the essay. (At least
2 examples)
• Demonstrates the author’s own historical thinking on the chosen theme.
