Session 3 Functional Behavior Assessment
Based off of the Student Observation and the Teacher Interview you have conducted, it is now time to create a Functional Behavior Assessment (FBA). Although you may not have interviewed the teacher of the actual student you observed, there certainly were still some reproducible skills that can be used with the student you selected for your case study.
To create your FBA, you may utilize whatever form that you desire. Perhaps you are currently working in a school and they already have a form they use. There is also a form found in Part 8 of your textbook that you may choose to use (Reproducible 9). There is also a great option found at the following website:

For your assignment this week, please complete the FBA form of your choice. Be sure to address the following in your FBA regarding your case study student:
Determine what the function of his/her behavior is.
What may be the antecedents of the behavior?
What does the behavior look like? (Provide as much detail as possible.)
What impact does student culture play in the behavior?
After you complete your FBA, write a short, 1-page reflection on what process you used to complete it. Include in your reflections your thoughts on how this process may be beneficial professionally.
