Restorative Practices Implementation

Students will conduct a brief assessment (i.e. Wandermans
QISARS) of organizational readiness to engage by implementing restorative practices
for youth within an alternative high school setting. Restorative practice was implemented
at the beginning of the academic school year August 2021. The goal of implementing
restorative practice could assist in the decrease defiant behavior, improve
attendance, and academic progress.

As part of the readiness assessment (i.e Wandermans QISARS),
students will distribute standardized measures to assess readiness for change
and openness to EBPs to 10-20 staff in their agency. They will also examine
documents of the organization to assess organizational capacity to install a
workforce intervention.

Directions
In the paper include
a) the number and description of participants who took the
assessment- total number of participants that completed the assessment was
eight consisting of 2 administrators; 4 faculty members (i.e. teachers; and 2
support staff (i.e. case managers)
b) results of the
readiness for change
c) results of the
openness to EBPs-was not conducted
d) findings from the
assessment of organizational capacities-leadership and
engagement/partnership
e) a summary of the
facilitators and barriers to implementing a workforce intervention in the
agency.
