Overview:
Hamilton the Musical has impacted the US identity, but not nearly as much as Alexander Hamilton himself. Hamilton was a strict federalist, while Jefferson feared the emergency of a monarchy. Both polished, urbane, civilized men, Hamilton & Jefferson’s rancor for each other is a thing of legend. Myth (not truth) has Hamilton writing to Jefferson: “There are approximately 1010300 words in the English language, but I could never string enough words together to properly explain how much I want to hit you with a chair.”
